As Vice President of Operations, Shehnila Mahkri leads business and clinical operations with a keen emphasis to expand and align service capabilities across Solaris Health.
Mahkri joins Solaris with over 25 years of diverse operational capabilities leading complex, multifaceted healthcare systems and private physician entities in various executive roles. Proven leadership success in leading notable organizations by creating, developing and implementing initiatives that improve the lifecycle of a healthcare ecosystem.
Most recently, she served as the Senior Director of Operations and Population Health Management for the largest, privately held Nephrology company in the country to include primary care services and a separate MSO consulting function for hospitals and other private physician entities. Mahkri was an integral part in growing the company, aligning programs and building clinical business functions that resulted in sale.
Prior to Nephrology, Mahkri served as the System Director and an Ambulatory Advisory Chair at Northwestern Medicine. A $12. 5 billion academic health system comprising of 11 hospitals in Chicagoland where she led multimillion dollar transformational projects across the enterprise resulting in positive financial health, operational alignment, best patient care and provider experience.
Mahkri began her healthcare career as a nurse, earned a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois and Lean Six Sigma certified.
