Dr. Scott Sellinger is Advisor, Advanced Prostate Cancer Therapeutics, for Solaris Health. He has been a partner at Southeastern Urological Center, now a division of Advanced Urology Institute (AUI), since 1991.

An early pioneer in operationalizing advanced prostate cancer clinics in independent urology practices, Dr. Sellinger has helped establish such clinics across the country. He lectures extensively, both nationally and internationally, regarding advanced prostate cancer clinical trials, medications, and other novel therapies, and is considered a key opinion leader in advanced prostate cancer management. He regularly advises physicians on prostate cancer therapeutics and operationalizing care strategies. He also lectures extensively about risk management and prevention of medical errors which is of special interest to him.

Dr. Sellinger is director of the advanced prostate cancer clinics at AUI where care is provided to nearly 1,000 men on advanced therapies. He serves on AUI’s board, and in 2021 became AUI’s second president. Dr. Sellinger chairs AUI’s Advanced Prostate Cancer (APC) Committee and oversees seven APC clinics within the organization. AUI is one of the largest independent urology practices in the United States.

Since 2015, Dr. Sellinger has served on the Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA) Board of Directors and is currently President-Elect. In that role he represents over 2,300 urologists by working to preserve and advance the independent practice of urology.

Over the years he has served as president of the following organizations: American Association of Clinical Urologists, Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, Florida Urological Society, and the Capital Medical Society.

Dr. Sellinger received his B.S. in Chemistry from Syracuse University and his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed his residency in urology at the University of Florida and has lived in Tallahassee for over 30 years.
