Andrew Hurst
Vice President, Procurement
Andrew Hurst brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare and military supply chain management. He has a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare supply chain landscape, leadership experience, and a proven track record for supply chain excellence.
In his role as Vice President of Procurement, Hurst will lead the Solaris Health National Supply Chain efforts to maximize affiliate savings on all purchases including, supplies, drugs, capital equipment, and maintenance agreements.
Prior to joining Solaris, Hurst was a consultant with Vizient where he supported various health systems with supply chain implementations, ERP integration, value analysis, resource management, and financial analysis.
He has previous experience in several positions within supply chain, including Buyer, Senior Buyer, Analyst, and Distribution and Logistics Manager in a top 25 healthcare system.
Hurst holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT), emergency medical technician-basic (EMT-B), and certified materials and resource professional (CMRP). He is also a member of the Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM).
Born and raised in Indiana, Hurst now resides in Gulfport, MS with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, boating, and exploring remote wilderness areas.
