In her role as Director of APP operations, Ferrell focuses on evaluating and improving advanced practice provider (APP) utilization across Solaris Health affiliates. Her goal is to ensure APPs practice at the top of their license to enhance practice efficiency.

Ferrell collaborates with the recruiting department to support APP recruitment and retention efforts.

Prior to her national director role with Solaris, Ferrell worked as Physician Assistant at Advanced Urology Institute (AUI) in Florida, having joined the group in 2013. As an APP she had an emphasis in prostate cancer

In 2022 she helped establish and chaired AUI’s APP Committee, leading initiatives focused on onboarding, APP utilization, and enhancing education

In 2024 Ferrell helped establish the first-ever Solaris APP Committee, where she continues to support the efforts of the Committee

Ferrell earned her undergrad in biology at University of Missouri-Columbia followed by her Physician Assistant degree from Nova Southeastern University, achieving highest honors as a Chancellor’s List Scholar.
