Mitchell B. Hollander, MD is a founding physician and the CEO of Michigan Institute of Urology, P.C. Dr. Hollander actively treated urological patients for over 25 years, while he was a managing partner of the practice. He assumed the full time Chief Executive Officer role in 2017. Due to Dr. Hollander’s innovation and passion, MIU is one of the largest private urology practices in the Midwest with over 60 providers and 19 locations.
As CEO, Dr. Hollander’s areas of focus have led to significant growth within the practice such as implementing clinical pathways across all locations, developing a molecular laboratory, advancing ancillary services, and implementing regional urologic based surgical centers.
Dr. Hollander received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1982. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in 1986. Dr. Hollander completed his general surgical residency at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio in 1988 and his Urologic Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 1991. He additionally completed a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology, Houston, Texas in 1992. Dr. Hollander is currently working on completing of his MBA at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, Physician MBA program.
